Most TNS SIFO Prospera's projects are recurrent and collective.
This means that they are repeated with regular time intervals and
that there are several subscribers to each project. Since the
majority of TNS SIFO Prospera's clients are competitors active in
the same business areas much demand is laid upon our neutrality,
objectivity and secrecy. We have therefore taken the strategic
decision not to be engaged in consulting. However, we put much
effort in interpreting the research results for each specific
client. The research reports are communicated to each client in a
seminar setting by a TNS SIFO Prospera project manager.
In all surveys targeting professional players TNS SIFO
Prospera's ambition is to contact all relevant market players. In
cooperation with our clients we continuously revise the lists of
interviewees to approach. The clients are also invited to give
their opinions on the questionnaires to ensure coverage of up to
The interviews are mainly performed over telephone. Still no
internet or e-mail based interview technique can compete with
telephone and personal interviews when it comes to quality.
Knowledgeable and flexible interviewers as well as questionnaires
considered relevant by the interviewees are prerequisites for a
high response rate. TNS SIFO Prospera's response rate is
historically high, often above 90 per cent. Most of our
interviewers, 20-30 persons, are free lancers but have worked for
TNS SIFO Prospera for several years. Nearly all of them have an
academic and/or financial background. The number of full time
employees presently amounts to 11 persons.
The survey results are analyzed according to a specific
methodology, the TNS SIFO Prospera Model. Statistical methods play
an important role to explain the relations between market
performance, market knowledge and perception of the organizations
evaluated. The purpose is to explain each client's strengths and
weaknesses, specifically to identify high priority areas where to
put the effort to improve the market performance.
